After using the iPad for about a year now it is starting to get a bit full up! Without a base iMac to store keynotes etc on I have filled up the 16gb quite quickly! I have been in discussion with the IT manager at school about ways round this and then suddenly kanex announce the launch of this brilliant little device!

The idea behind it is that you can add it to your router and then hot swap USB storage devices to create a file server for iOS devices that works on WebDAV and bonjour (r). I am hoping that it will work on the school network and will provide me with that extra storage that I need. Would be great if using a set of class iPads or in a 1-2-1 school. Each teacher could save the pupils work on a separate USB storage device rather than using a shared Dropbox.

At £79 each, this seems like a cheap way to get the extra storage I need! Will let you know how I get on.
